After the success of her first short film, Taking Chances -short-listed in the 50 Kisses Competition, and winner of its category at the Screen Stockport Film Festival 2014 - Elena decided to continue pursuing directing as well as acting with a series of short films and comedy sketches all built around the same themes of love, courtship, first impressions and rejection. Her second short film, Something for You, premièred at the Rob Knox Film Festival in 2015 winning the Best Comedy award. A radio comedy sketch- Cupid's Advice- produced in collaboration with Miskin radio- was broadcast in September 2016. Her two part short films series-Valentines-Random Love Words- was released on Valentine's Day 2016. Her latest project, the romantic comedy Clara's First Reader was filmed last year in Broadstairs- a charming seaside resort on the coast of Kent- and is currently in post production.
